Time for a Change

Last week I wrote a brief article about a change coming and before that “the race of life”. For me that means complete devotion to my Heaven Father. A couple night ago I had a dream that I was in a foot race along with others,  over all kinds of obstacles and terrain. And in the dream there was something that was trying to distract me that would hinder me from finishing the race. Then I woke up. I realized God was showing me what I needed to avoid, and I was not about to let that happen. God is faithful in leading and helping me. And I am very thankful for that. I'm not here to please people, my readers, or my flesh—but to build a relationship with my Heavenly Father, and serve His children. That is my only goal. It is also where we as His disciples will find perfect love and fulfillment; as well as complete peace and joy that will meet all our heart's desires. This will change our lives forever and those we touch for generations to come.

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the thrown of God.”

Therefore, at this time I will not be posting weekly blogs, but on the first Tuesday of each month for the rest of this summer as I continue this race and make sure I stay focused on the Prize, and helping the poor in Mexico. Check back then and see what has happened. It has been great so far and I know it is going to get even better. God Bless you and thanks you for your prayers and support. The most important thing I can leave you with is to keep doing what God has placed in your heart to do, and maybe for some that's just sitting at His feet. The change will come. You may not even notice it at first, but when you look back you will see how far you have come. For the Lord will and is exalting all His sons and daughters. Amen!

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strengeth; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not get weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:39)

Are you ready to fly? Are you ready to soar with Me? Are you ready to walk in heavenly places?

You are eagles and you were meant to fly. You were meant to be free, yet you have been bound by circumstances and shackled by false mind sets. But, the Lord says, I'm cutting the ropes that have kept you bound and I'm breaking the chains of false mindsets and addictions that have hindered you, and I'm setting you free. Free to fly with Me.

A Change is Coming

Last week, we had our first rain and thunderstorm since October. It's been very dry and we really needed it. It lasted a couple hours. The power even went out a few short times. But, it was nice for a change and helped wash a lot of dirt and dust off things. The temperature even cooled down to 78 degrees by midnight. So I took a nice refreshing walk with the Lord. However, a few days later it was back up over a hundred and still a 100 degrees at 11pm when I took another walk, and it only dropped to 92 by 6am the next morning. On that walk I had sweat dripping off the ends of my fingers by the time I got back to the house. But that's what summer is like here in San Carlos. Thank God for A/C in my bedroom.

However, the best thing so far has been the relationship I have been developing with my Heavenly Father. I have learned many things, most of it is very personal and even if I could share it, most people would not even believe me. A lot of what we talk about is centered around His grace and freedom, and what it means to be one with Him. However, for each individual it can mean something entirely different. We all have a different personality, nature and calling that He will use in His time and way. The best we can do is to be willing to allow changes and be available as we learn to walk in His presence. The change will come along with more of His wisdom, knowledge, power and authority to see that we fulfill our destiny and that defining moment He intends for all of us for the Kingdom of God. To Him be the Glory forever and ever. As we share in the wonder of His Love and Grace.

My Bride, My name will be yours

And I will whisper it in your ears

Then you too will speak with the sound of My Spirit

Then we shall agree—

Yes, even our oneness will be greatness and power

Because I will make My ring include you

And is that covenant loyalty

My friends will be your friends

True alliance will be won at the gate

All because of love.”--Sheldon David

I've got a Mansion

The Lord called Abraham from the land of Ur, to go to a land that He would show him. Abraham was a man of faith, he loved God and followed Him to and throughout that promised land. There he continued to live a nomadic life; living in tents just as his son Isaac and his son Jacob (Israel). Then he and his eleven sons moved to Egypt where Joseph was ruling. Their descendants lived there for four hundred more years, but eventually became enslaved and abused. Then Moses, with God's help, freed them and lead them back to the Promise Land; a place now flowing with milk and honey, amd they no longer needed to live in tents.

Jesus also lived a nomadic life, even as a child. When He was older and began His ministry He still had no place He called home. Jesus set an example for all his disciples to live by faith wherever that may be. Teaching them to love Lord God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love others has yourself. Plus, we also must take up their cross and leave everything for the Kingdom of God.

I too have lived a nomadic life. When I was growing up my parent moved many times. As a result, my brother and I went to many different schools, but we didn't mind, because it was a way to meet new people and make more friends. Sometimes we lived in an apartment, or a duplex, a few rental houses and even houses that my parents had built. When I was older and got married my wife, daughter and I moved many times too, and we even lived in houses that I had built.

Then I left everything to follow Christ and eventually headed for Mexico and lived in my Astro van for a year. Now I live in a house in San Carlos for only $200 a month, in a resort community; which is incredible and I'm really grateful for this place. But, because of the hot days and high humidity, I primarily stay in just my bedroom, which has air-conditioning if I'm not out walking the streets or beaches. In my room I pray, read, eat and watch some DVD's on my laptop. As humble as these surrounding are, I'm not discouraged, because of the joy I have in getting to know my Father's will and heart better. The more I know Him the more I love and appreciate Him.

I have been called to many nations, but it is here in Mexico that the Lord has chosen to further prepare me for this awesome and divine adventure. However, I find I don't really mind this nomadic life, because in reality I have a much bigger and better place than anyone could ever imagine.

The Lord Jesus Christ is my life, home and my eternal Mansion, address Mount Zion. I live in Him and His spirit lives in me. Wow, what an awesome and dynamic combination. This is not the physical mansion that many Christians still believe they'll get when they arrive in heaven that's built on streets of gold, but a spiritual one. Within this mansion I also have a beautiful family of brothers and sisters and we all eat at the same table with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob and Christ at the head of it. He is our dwelling place and in Him we have our being, now and forever. Jesus Christ is the solid foundation, upon which the seven pillars of the Spirit stand, and He is also the capstone above it all. His beauty and nature is beyond description. Living in the presence of Christ, I have find my peace, joy, fulfillment and everything else that we as believers need in a growing relationship with Him, and in serving the Body of Christ.

This Mansion also has a beautiful staircase that ascends to a second floor, where the Builder and Chief Architect, God Himself dwells. There He works, waits and administrates the affairs of creation and all our lives; drawing us closer to Himself, to be One with Him.

In Christ we are wealthy, healthy and blessed beyond measure. And we can't take any credit for this or what we have or done. It is all the working of His Holy Spirit through the awesome love and grace of Abba Father, for which you and I are truly thankful and humbled by His Presence. Today, I'm learning like many others that there's no place like home.

As disciples of Jesus, we have been called to live a nomadic life and sojourners in this world which has nothing to offer us of eternal value. We too must be willing to leave everything behind, that means our family, possessions, and securities to follow Christ (Luke 14:33). We have been chosen to walk the narrow Way seeking the Eternal City whose builder is God (Hebrews 11:13. As His sons and daughters we have been given spiritual eyes “to see” the invisible things and call them into being by faith. Forsaking also all our natural and carnal desires to pursue the vision to its final destination and prize, Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of God, and Heaven on Earth. On this journey, it does not really matter to me where I live, because His “goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Are we there yet?
