Hurricanes

This is just two blocks from my house.

On my last article I shared a small part of a prophecy from Sheldon. It was an incredible prophecy and I would like to share just a little more from it:

“I am exalting that which concerns you, [Sons of God]. I’ve heard your cries and prayers. I know where you’re at and I carry the burden. I bear the yoke with you. You’re not in this alone. I fix that which is broken and clean that which is soiled and restore that which has been disgraced or dismantled and I make all things NEW. As I said, you are the New Heavens and you are the New Earth. You are the New Creation and the New Jerusalem that has come out of heaven from God, dressed and prepared for the Master.” (Bracket mine.)

Also in that same article I also made a statement that you may have surprised, but I believe it is still the heart of Father. I referred to His Kingdom as “Our Kingdom.” The reason for this is simple; Jesus is the Kingdom of God, He is our Lord, and our Husband, and as such is His desire to share all He has with us as the Eternal Father, because it's been given to us to rule with Him. He is still the Sovereign Lord and King over heaven and earth, and those evil creeps now under our feet. God is forever the lover of our soul.

In the book of Esther, we see a picture of our spiritual marriage to the King and overcoming our common enemy. Queen Esther, represent the Church. The King also saw his Queen as an equal. Whatever, the Queen said, in words or letter was fulfill with the Kings full authority in dealing with her enemies and their spoils.

Today the Heavenly Father is also giving His Sons, and Bride, authority to speak for Him. The Lord says,
“We'll come together and administrate My Kingdom Authority. You will cast those things out that do not belong within the walls of the Kingdom. You will set up standards and command the angels of YHWH, in order to accomplish His will.” (another portion from Sheldon's prophecy.)

There is no competition in the Kingdom of God. We have been chosen and united with Christ, we our One with the Eternal Father. Yet, as always, we stand in His presence, only because of His wonderful love and amazing grace.

In the book of Songs of Solomon, we have another picture of the Bride and Groom, where the bride in the beginning referred to the Bridegroom as belonging to her. “I am my beloved and he is mine.” She says this two different times. But later, as she has matured in wisdom and understanding (knowledge), she says, “I am my beloved and I am His.” That’s the true picture of her relationship. Her husband is no longer seen as a possession, but as the True Lover. Together we rule and reign with Him as the New Jerusalem for all eternity. Amen!

During this past month there has been three hurricanes on the west coast of Mexico. The first brushed along lower Baja California, and had little effect on our area. The next one on September 15th was a much bigger hurricane with winds of 125mph, making a direct hit on the Baja peninsula causing even greater damage, including our area. Both times I was not aware of them until after the fact, but the second one I could see how it was affecting our area. It was a category 4 the down graded to a 3 when it hit San Lucas, but still did a lot of damage.

In San Carlos there are many businesses and homes built close to the ocean, and with little protection from large waves which are rare, (normal waves are 2-3feet), except when there are hurricanes or tropical storms. It rained for a day and a half, but not very hard. However, five years ago when a hurricane that past through San Carlos, and it dump 36” of rain before leaving the area. Anyway, this time the rain was not as bad, just a couple inches. But a number of homes, hotels and restaurants were damaged by the high water and 8 foot waves breaking windows and filling them with sand and seawater. Winds gust of 70-80mph was also a factor, causing flying objects. Later that same afternoon, I watch from a nearby house for over an hour as these huge wave hit the beach houses that had stonewalls to protect them, but not high enough for some houses and a couple didn't even have a seawall.

While I watched the storm, I meet a man from the community church who has three homes on the canal that lead to the canal where we stood and empties storm water to the ocean. All three of his houses had three feet of water in them from the hurricane that hit 5 years ago. Together we watched and talked. He felt this was just another sign of God's judgment and that there would be still more to come before the Lords soon return. I didn't get into that, but I did share my testimony and why I was in Mexico. I also told him we were going to see a mighty move of God very soon in Mexico and around the world; the visitation of the Father.

Later that night I took a walk when it wasn't raining hard, but still very windy, just to be a part of the power of God's creation, and even a buffer in His judgments. I prayed for mercy, just as Abraham did, and for the safety of His children. Over that two day event we lost power almost a dozen times, sometimes for several hours, other areas were without power much longer. The man told me that there was still another hurricane following the hurricane we were experiencing. The next day, I got on line and saw that in deed there was another big hurricane coming up the southern coastline of Mexico. I asked for God's mercy and felt lead to commanded the storm to turn away from making landfall. A few days later, I checked the weather satellite video, I saw that the large hurricane had turned away from land and was dissipating out at sea. Praise God.

As God's sons, we are not just to sit or stand around and watch these disasters happen, but act according to God's heart. It is God's desire for us to demonstrate His love, power, and mercy in every situation; bringing His Kingdom to earth.

This are my special friends, Mario, his wife Anna and her father, who God has healed after prayer.

God Complex

What an awesome month this has been, and it keeps getting better. I have also had some personal struggles, but God helped me through them. Now let me give you some other highlight.

First, on August Aug. 10th about noon we had a small earthquake 5.6. A couple quick jolts that shook the house and then some small tremors. The was no serious damage to the house or town. However, some things fell off peoples shelves, and it crack the waterline coming to my house and a small amount of water is now leaking and will need to be repaired by the city, but they are in no hurry to fix it.

We have also had a lot of thunderstorms this past month. Sometimes during the day, but most during the night after midnight for our area. It's impossible for me to sleep through them. One night there was another one just after 2am. So after that storm had past, I asked God what the thunder and lightning was all about. And He told me that they were announcing that He was coming, the Eternal Father. The earth is trembling and the weather is excited, and the time is right. He's coming to reveal Himself and His power to mankind, to clothe His sons in His glory, and to set His children free. It's time to wake-up, and to celibate!

On the 13th I was drive through Guaymas late at night, taking a friend home. I knew the speed limit, because I just past a speed sign. There was a police pick-up truck in front of me, who was driving slower, so I past him on the inside lane. I then got back in the left lane. A minute later I saw blue flashing light behind me. Great, now what! I had lost my driver’s license the month before, so got out my tourist visa to show the officer, who spoke no English. He accused me of speeding. I said no, I was doing 60klm (about 40mph) and he said I was doing 80. He apparently saw my Washington plate on my van and knew I was an American. I knew this was a common problems with tourist, and what he really wanted was money. He threatened to take me back to the police station. So while my wallet was still out I show him that all I had was three fifty pesos bills and offered him one. But he wanted more, so I offered all three. He still wanted more, but I said it was all I had. He finally accepted them and told me not to speed anymore. I thank him and left. 150 pesos is only about $13. Earlier that day, I was going to put in another 500 pesos bill, but I decided not to and I’m glad I didn’t. But I was still a little upset. The next morning I was still thinks about what happen, and realized what God wanted me to do. Pray, and forgive the man, and for all the officers who abuse their power. Plus, make a declaration for integrity and honesty in the justice system in Mexico and around the world. And that’s what I did.

Aug. 19-The Lord reminded me that we are going where no man gone before. As sons and daughters of God we are stepping into another world. We are above the world systems and answer to no one—but God, and speak for Him.

Aug.21—I had dream. In it, a friend and I were out in the countryside and he was on a small farm vehicle that had a rototiller on it. He began digging up a section of ground when he uncover some metal in the dirt. After a closer look, we realized it was part of a small airplane that had crashed, and had been covered by soil over the years. My friend went to get police to help determine who died in the plane. I waited nearby, then decided to take another look at the remains, but when I got closer, I now saw two young men, dressed in casual clothes, lying on top of the crash site. When I touched the body, it moved, and I realized he wasn't dead. I asked who they were and then the other man moved. He was the pilot and they had crashed in 1986. They still looked about thirty and told me their names. Then said my name was Israel. When my friend returned, we used his cellphone to call family and tell them of the miracle we had just witnessed. They had come back to life just because I was there and they had not aged, and it was now 2014. Wow!

In the days ahead, we are going to see bizarre miracles like this. Remember, Ezekiel raised up an army from dry bones, and a dead man came back to life after being thrown into the tomb of Elisha. The power of Father on His sons and daughter will capture the hearts and souls of men, for the Glory of God.

On August 25, I got a prophecy from Sheldon that the Lord gave him the month before, and it greatly encouraged me. It also confirmed some things that I had said this month, and that the Lord had shared with me. But this prophecy, was the most powerful words I have ever read. It revealed more of God's heart, who we are in Christ and our mission as His son and daughters. I would like to share just a small portion of it. One of the biggest problems that many of us face is that we are, afraid of expressing the TRUE Christ Who lives inside you. It’s not been a God complex – it’s been a human complex. The “God thing” is the most secure part of you – the part that knows who He is and who she is, and will take it and establish it and will put the sword in the ground and say THIS FAR and NO FARTHER!, because this territory is YHWH’s and this YHWH is in us — the Sons of God.”

In this prophecy the Lord also that satan tries to get us to believe God has not meant everything He said in the Bible or spoken to us. Neither can we allow satan to intimidate us.The Lord also said that we have been given full authority over satan and we must take back what has been stolen, Stick our sword in the ground and say, “enough is enough” and establish what we will allow in OUR Kingdom, and remove what does not belong, such as sickness, disease, poverty etc. ect. The Father has given us His ring, just as Jesus spoke in the parable of the Prodigal Son, and with that spiritual ring we have now been given His full authority. Amen!

On Aug 24th—I had another spiritual dream. I don't remember all of it, but the very last part. I was talking to a minister and he said to me, “the biggest problem with the church today is that we,” and I said it with him, “ignore God.”--End of dream and then I woke up. As I laid there thinking about that statement I realized how true it was. “The Lord says, 'These people come near me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of Me is made up only of rules taught by men.' (Isa. 29:13). When God tells us to do something and we don't do it; we are ignoring Him. The same applies when the Lords says who we are we are in Christ, and then don't live like it. What we are really doing is ignoring Him, by yielding to another voice. Many call this “apathy” or even “compromise,” and it has become an acceptable in the church today. But it is NOT acceptable with God. We are no longer looking at the Pearl of Great Price, but to self and our fleshly interest that are more acceptable and pleasing to us.
But praise God for His infinite grace and mercy, He wants to give His children another chance to return to the Holy One of Israel and enter into His rest.

He is our LIFE—the very beat of our heart. And we must get to know His heart by resting our heads there. We are One with Him. He gave us His name and we are to be His Voice, eyes, feet and hands. We must see and hear and understand all that He is and intends for us by walking in His faith. We can no longer to afford to ignore God, or the signs of the times.

On August 25, I went to get a taco that night. While I was eating with the owners when their daughter called from the hospital, because she was having pain down below and she was just two months along in her pregnancy. So Mario, her father who speaks English, said they were going to see her, but asked if I would pray. I said sure, but satan tried to stop me by putting doubts and fears in my mind. I chose to ignore them, and prayed. Declaring full restoration for the mother and protection for the unborn child, and peace of mind. Then as I left to walk back home, I declared, there are no miscarriages in the Kingdom of God.

At the end of the week, I went back to get a hot dog and see how their daughter was doing, even though I already knew. They told me everyone was fine and thanked me, again. However, as I was finishing my hotdog, Mario told me that there was another mother who was seven month pregnant, and their appeared to be a serious problem with the unborn baby, and wanted to know what to do. He then showed me several sonogram photos of the baby. What I saw did not even look human, but a mass of lump and bumps of flesh. I was shocked and I had never seen anything like it before.

O God, then satan tried tell me to abort the child. But, I chose to ignore him, because I knew who is in control, and who I was and who gives life, and who takes it way. So I laid my hand on the photos and prayed by faith, not by sight, and guard my words. I said, God can heal a person outside the womb and You can certainly restore ones inside the womb; despite what we saw--nothing is impossible this God. I prayed peace over the parent I told satan this child belongs to God, and you can't take it. And the child would grow to know the love and power of Her Heavenly Father, and be a bless to others. When I finished praying, Mario said that I made him cry and he used a napkin to wipe his eyes. As I walked back home, I felt God pleasure and He lead to pray more in the spirit. When I was finish, I declared no more satan,  the are no birth defects in the Kingdom of God.

The people will come, to see, to hear and to touched the robe of God's Sons and Daughters. This is our mission and our mandate. This world will eventually understand that the Father really does cares and loves His children. Much more than we will ever know.

News Updates

Making tracks in Mexico for the Kingdom of God.
It's been a great three weeks and I'm posting this article a little earlier than I had said, because the restaurant where I get my WiFi is closing for a couple weeks for improved parking and a vacation for the owner. This will be in a form of a news letter:
On July 11-- I had an interesting dream that I would like to share. I was at a large church or auditorium, and I was watching a man, who was maybe 50 or 60 years old with salt and pepper colored hair, ministering to a large crowd and I was viewing from TV monitor in another room. There was also another person sitting next to me on my right side. As I listen to the preacher there was such an anointing on him that each word he spoke seem to have a clarity and life. Then he got down on his hands and knees to illustrate Jesus Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, and all of a sudden the man was lifted to his feet. Then his feet left the floor, but he continued to preach. Some thought he was suspended by wires, but there were none as he drifted across the platform. Then the cameraman turn his camera to capture three young ladies in the back upper area of the auditorium who also started floating in the air. They each had long hair and it was blowing in all directions, and they were laughing, and you could hear people gasp in amazement. Then the man next to me asked if I would like to meet the minister. I told him no, that this was just a confirmation of what I knew the Lord would be doing more of in the days ahead. End of dream. I am also happy seeing others blessed and appreciate seeing the gifts, talents and anointing on my other brothers and sisters.

Sunday July 20, I went to a christening of a friend named Maria, it was for her grandson and I was to meet at her house at 12 noon. I chose to go, because it was a way to reach out to her family and the community. Jesus went to weddings, had meals in pharisees and tax collector’s homes, and He even went to synagogues to reach the lost. Just as all the apostles did.

It was a hot day and the morning mass was over. The church as empty except for Maria and her family. It was a large church that would hold about 300 people and it had a high corrugated metal roof with ceiling fans, but it was still over a hundred degrees inside and 95 degrees outside. But we sat inside and waited for about an hour the priest to show-up. The ceremony was lasted about 10 minutes, and the small child was not to happy when it came time for him to have water poured over his head, but it did help cool him down. I watched, prayed and took some pictures. After it was over I greeter the priest and bless him and the family and child. Then I drove the whole family back to Maria's house since they don't have a car and they all live there in a two bedroom concrete house with an extra bedroom made of wood scrapes add to the back of the house . I visited for a while, but they speak very little English. However, they were very kind and friendly and appreciate the help I've been to their family. I love them all, just as God does.

July 24—The Lord share with me that we (lovers of God)are patriot's of the Kingdom, fighting for the freedom of His children. Our passion is to see Truth and Righteousness prevail. Many have been enslave by an evil regime that intends to keep people bound and from entering into their rightful inheritance. However, as patriots, we will continue fight this battle not only with words, but also in prayers and actions no matter where, when or how long despite the cost; just as our forefathers in the past; including many of our other brothers and sisters today who have given up everything and paid the ultimate sacrifice. As patriots we will pursue the enemy until everyone of satan strongholds are broken and the Kingdom of Heaven is restored on earth.

July 27—Sowing worship music into Justin's life. He is only fifteen and helps lead worship songs on Sunday at the community church along with his younger sister. I told Him I liked the songs he chooses, especially one called, Day of Elijah, which I had never heard before. And there is phrase in it that said God was raising up David's with a spirit of praise; something like that I don't have a copy and it was projected. Anyway, I also told Justin I had some CD's worship music, that he may enjoy and not heard before, and he could make copies. I told him that worship was one of the main directions God wanted to take His church, and the other was prayer. I told his parent that I was very impressed with their family and their heart for God.

Justin has nine other beautiful brothers and sisters, the three oldest still live in Colorado where his parents had lived and help manage part of the family business there too, plus finishing their education. His mother invited me to have lunch with them that day, and her husband also invited Enrique, who preached that morning. While she prepared lunch I got to share my testimony with them about what God at done in my life and what I was doing in Mexico and some of the unique things that had happened.

That night, the Lord told me that everywhere I walked I was preparing the soil for a mighty work of God so that the Holy Spirit can plant His Seed into lives that will grow, prosper and bear much fruit. I believe, this also applies to many other sons and daughters.

July 30, Breaking the spirit of poverty; I met a poor friend and his wife on their way into the grocery store the day before, and I asked him if he wanted some work and I would pay him. I told him I need the lower dead branches on two palm trees cut off. He agreed to come, but sent sent his teenage son the next day instead which was fine. They were glad to do the work for me. In the past I had just giving them money. However, I believe this is a better way in some cases. People don't need hand outs they need work and good wages to support their families.

Everyday with my Father, we love and help those around us and are sowing faith for future generations. God is doing and going to do amazing things. His anointing is increasing on each of us; to love, forgive and to demonstrate His power, just as when Jesus Christ walked the earth.

Time for a Change

Last week I wrote a brief article about a change coming and before that “the race of life”. For me that means complete devotion to my Heaven Father. A couple night ago I had a dream that I was in a foot race along with others,  over all kinds of obstacles and terrain. And in the dream there was something that was trying to distract me that would hinder me from finishing the race. Then I woke up. I realized God was showing me what I needed to avoid, and I was not about to let that happen. God is faithful in leading and helping me. And I am very thankful for that. I'm not here to please people, my readers, or my flesh—but to build a relationship with my Heavenly Father, and serve His children. That is my only goal. It is also where we as His disciples will find perfect love and fulfillment; as well as complete peace and joy that will meet all our heart's desires. This will change our lives forever and those we touch for generations to come.

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the thrown of God.”

Therefore, at this time I will not be posting weekly blogs, but on the first Tuesday of each month for the rest of this summer as I continue this race and make sure I stay focused on the Prize, and helping the poor in Mexico. Check back then and see what has happened. It has been great so far and I know it is going to get even better. God Bless you and thanks you for your prayers and support. The most important thing I can leave you with is to keep doing what God has placed in your heart to do, and maybe for some that's just sitting at His feet. The change will come. You may not even notice it at first, but when you look back you will see how far you have come. For the Lord will and is exalting all His sons and daughters. Amen!

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strengeth; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not get weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:39)

Are you ready to fly? Are you ready to soar with Me? Are you ready to walk in heavenly places?

You are eagles and you were meant to fly. You were meant to be free, yet you have been bound by circumstances and shackled by false mind sets. But, the Lord says, I'm cutting the ropes that have kept you bound and I'm breaking the chains of false mindsets and addictions that have hindered you, and I'm setting you free. Free to fly with Me.

A Change is Coming

Last week, we had our first rain and thunderstorm since October. It's been very dry and we really needed it. It lasted a couple hours. The power even went out a few short times. But, it was nice for a change and helped wash a lot of dirt and dust off things. The temperature even cooled down to 78 degrees by midnight. So I took a nice refreshing walk with the Lord. However, a few days later it was back up over a hundred and still a 100 degrees at 11pm when I took another walk, and it only dropped to 92 by 6am the next morning. On that walk I had sweat dripping off the ends of my fingers by the time I got back to the house. But that's what summer is like here in San Carlos. Thank God for A/C in my bedroom.

However, the best thing so far has been the relationship I have been developing with my Heavenly Father. I have learned many things, most of it is very personal and even if I could share it, most people would not even believe me. A lot of what we talk about is centered around His grace and freedom, and what it means to be one with Him. However, for each individual it can mean something entirely different. We all have a different personality, nature and calling that He will use in His time and way. The best we can do is to be willing to allow changes and be available as we learn to walk in His presence. The change will come along with more of His wisdom, knowledge, power and authority to see that we fulfill our destiny and that defining moment He intends for all of us for the Kingdom of God. To Him be the Glory forever and ever. As we share in the wonder of His Love and Grace.

My Bride, My name will be yours

And I will whisper it in your ears

Then you too will speak with the sound of My Spirit

Then we shall agree—

Yes, even our oneness will be greatness and power

Because I will make My ring include you

And is that covenant loyalty

My friends will be your friends

True alliance will be won at the gate

All because of love.”--Sheldon David

I've got a Mansion

The Lord called Abraham from the land of Ur, to go to a land that He would show him. Abraham was a man of faith, he loved God and followed Him to and throughout that promised land. There he continued to live a nomadic life; living in tents just as his son Isaac and his son Jacob (Israel). Then he and his eleven sons moved to Egypt where Joseph was ruling. Their descendants lived there for four hundred more years, but eventually became enslaved and abused. Then Moses, with God's help, freed them and lead them back to the Promise Land; a place now flowing with milk and honey, amd they no longer needed to live in tents.

Jesus also lived a nomadic life, even as a child. When He was older and began His ministry He still had no place He called home. Jesus set an example for all his disciples to live by faith wherever that may be. Teaching them to love Lord God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love others has yourself. Plus, we also must take up their cross and leave everything for the Kingdom of God.

I too have lived a nomadic life. When I was growing up my parent moved many times. As a result, my brother and I went to many different schools, but we didn't mind, because it was a way to meet new people and make more friends. Sometimes we lived in an apartment, or a duplex, a few rental houses and even houses that my parents had built. When I was older and got married my wife, daughter and I moved many times too, and we even lived in houses that I had built.

Then I left everything to follow Christ and eventually headed for Mexico and lived in my Astro van for a year. Now I live in a house in San Carlos for only $200 a month, in a resort community; which is incredible and I'm really grateful for this place. But, because of the hot days and high humidity, I primarily stay in just my bedroom, which has air-conditioning if I'm not out walking the streets or beaches. In my room I pray, read, eat and watch some DVD's on my laptop. As humble as these surrounding are, I'm not discouraged, because of the joy I have in getting to know my Father's will and heart better. The more I know Him the more I love and appreciate Him.

I have been called to many nations, but it is here in Mexico that the Lord has chosen to further prepare me for this awesome and divine adventure. However, I find I don't really mind this nomadic life, because in reality I have a much bigger and better place than anyone could ever imagine.

The Lord Jesus Christ is my life, home and my eternal Mansion, address Mount Zion. I live in Him and His spirit lives in me. Wow, what an awesome and dynamic combination. This is not the physical mansion that many Christians still believe they'll get when they arrive in heaven that's built on streets of gold, but a spiritual one. Within this mansion I also have a beautiful family of brothers and sisters and we all eat at the same table with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob and Christ at the head of it. He is our dwelling place and in Him we have our being, now and forever. Jesus Christ is the solid foundation, upon which the seven pillars of the Spirit stand, and He is also the capstone above it all. His beauty and nature is beyond description. Living in the presence of Christ, I have find my peace, joy, fulfillment and everything else that we as believers need in a growing relationship with Him, and in serving the Body of Christ.

This Mansion also has a beautiful staircase that ascends to a second floor, where the Builder and Chief Architect, God Himself dwells. There He works, waits and administrates the affairs of creation and all our lives; drawing us closer to Himself, to be One with Him.

In Christ we are wealthy, healthy and blessed beyond measure. And we can't take any credit for this or what we have or done. It is all the working of His Holy Spirit through the awesome love and grace of Abba Father, for which you and I are truly thankful and humbled by His Presence. Today, I'm learning like many others that there's no place like home.

As disciples of Jesus, we have been called to live a nomadic life and sojourners in this world which has nothing to offer us of eternal value. We too must be willing to leave everything behind, that means our family, possessions, and securities to follow Christ (Luke 14:33). We have been chosen to walk the narrow Way seeking the Eternal City whose builder is God (Hebrews 11:13. As His sons and daughters we have been given spiritual eyes “to see” the invisible things and call them into being by faith. Forsaking also all our natural and carnal desires to pursue the vision to its final destination and prize, Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of God, and Heaven on Earth. On this journey, it does not really matter to me where I live, because His “goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Are we there yet?

You are Mine!

What the Lord has said, outweighs anything man can.

"Thus says the Lord, your Creator...and He who formed you. 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flames burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior. I have given Egypt as a ransom...since you are precious in My sight, since you are honored and I love you. I will give other men in your place and other people in exchange for your life.'”

"Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth. Everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”

“You are my witness, declares the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord and there is no savior beside Me. It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, and there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses, declares the Lord, and I am God. Even from eternity I am He, and there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?”

Thus says the Lord you Redeemer, the Holy one of Israel...Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it springs forth. Will you now be aware of it? I will make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert...to give drink to My chosen people. The people who I have formed for Myself will declare My praise.” (Isaiah 43: 1-21)

The Race of Life

As the summer season, June 21st, approaches, it is already summer here in San Carlos, I have felt the need to wait more on the Lord in the shadow of His wing, and my air conditioned room. There has also been a hunger in my soul that has never been satisfied since leaving the United States. Although I know that I have the fullness of Christ in me, there is always more that He would desires to reveal all of us, and so I yield this time  and my love to receive more of His love and Presence. However, there has also been an increasing effort from the enemy to keep this from happening. But I intend to finish this great race and journey regardless of what satan does or the desires of my flesh that seek comfort from the heat or from some other sorce of temporary pleasure. The Bible instructs us to run life’s race “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). And that is what I intend to do.

This past week my landlord came down for a few days and we had some time to talk and help each other. While he was here he took me out for breakfast a few times, which I enjoyed. He also loan me a book that was very special to him. It was “The Pursuit of God’ by A.W. Tozer. I started reading it, because it seemed to fit into the framework of where my heart was going. It was a small book and I really enjoyed reading it, and I would recommend reading it, if you have not already read it. I really didn’t learn anything new, but it was more of a conformation and encouragement to me. I also loved seeing the man's passion for God that is so desperately needed in the Church today. I would like to finish is article by quoting from Hebrews 12:1-2 and a portion from Tozer's book.

“From this [passage] we learn that faith is not a once-done act, but a continuous gaze of the heart at the Triune God.

Believing, then is directing the heart’s attention to Jesus. It’s lifting the mind to “Behold the Lamb of God” (John1:29), and never ceasing that beholding for the rest of our lives. At first this may be difficult, but it becomes easier and without strain. Distractions may hinder, but once our heart is committed to Him, after each brief excursion away from Him, the attention will return again and rest upon Him like a bird coming back to its window.

I would emphasize this one committal, this one great volitional act which establishes the heart‘s intention to gaze forever upon Jesus. God takes this intention for our choice and makes what allowances He must for the thousand distractions which beset us in this evil world. He knows that we have set the direction of our heart toward Jesus, and we can know it too, and comfort ourselves with the knowledge that a habit of soul is forming which will become, after a while, a sort of spiritual reflect requiring no more conscious effort on our part.”

“The man who struggles to purify himself and has nothing but repeated failures will experience real relief when he stops tinkering with his soul and looks away to the perfected One. While he looks at Christ, the very thing he has so long been trying to do will be getting done within him. It will be God working in him to will and to do.

Faith is not in itself a meritorious act; the merit is in the One toward Whom it is directed. Faith is a redirecting of our sight, a getting out of the focus of our own vision and getting into God’s focus. Sin has twisted our vision inward and made it self-regarding. Unbelief has put self where God should be.

All this may seem too simple. But we have no apology to make. To those who would seek to climb into heaven after help or descend into hell, God says, “The word is nigh thee, even …the word of faith” (Romans 10:8). The Word induces us to lift up our eyes unto the Lord and the blessed work of faith begins.

When we lift our inward eyes to gaze upon God we are sure to meet friendly eyes gazing back on us, for it is written that the eyes of the Lord run to and fro through all the earth. The sweet language of the experience is “Thou seest me” (Genesis 16:13). When the eyes of the soul looking out to meet the eyes of the God looking in, heaven has begun right here on this earth.”--A.W Tozer

You Are Clean

For the past five months I have come to know a greater portion of God’s grace than ever before. We all walk, live and breathe in the awesome grace of God. Most of us don't even realize it and often take it for granted, but I don’t any more. I am forever indebted to that Love and Grace of God, and I'm truly grateful.

The twelve disciples of Jesus spent several years with the Lord, the Master of their lives. Yet they still hardly knew Him. Jesus knew them better than they knew themselves. Jesus also chose each of them, simple ordinary men to reach the world for the Kingdom of God. He knew all their strengths, weaknesses and imperfections; and He still loved each of them, including Judas. But this article is not about him, but Peter. A man that I can easily identify with. Peter loved Jesus. However, he had his good moments and some not so good. Peter often spoke first without thinking--something that many of us are guilty of. But despite that, Jesus loved him and everyone of us very much. In fact He doesn’t even take note of ours flaws or mistakes the way we do.

For example, when Nathanael first heard about Jesus from his brother Philip, he questioned whether anything good could come out of Nazareth. But when he finally met Jesus , Jesus referred to him as “an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!” Wow, Jesus totally disregarded the negative comment and saw only the good in the man.

Then on the last night with all His disciples, Jesus wanted to set another example for them and us to remember. He humbled himself, knelt down before his disciples and began to wash their feet. But when Jesus came to Peter, Peter refuse to have his feet washed, but then changed his mind after the Lord explained that this was necessary. Jesus also told him “you are clean.” Jesus said this knowing full well what Peter would do and say later that night. Peter felt that he love Jesus so much that he boldly declared that he was willing to lay down his life for Him. Something he eventually did, but not until there was a “sifting” of his soul. But Jesus had prayed for Peter and knew he would change and be a different man than he was. Peter thought he was ready, but there was still more he needed to be done and learned, as we all do. How often have we told God or others, that we would do or say something, and then not follow through, because of fear, doubts or other desires? But praise God, Jesus is still praying for us, and we can truthfully say, God see us as we are in Christ Jesus, free of sin and we are clean.

It is important for us to see ourselves and others as Christ see us, and not focus on flaws or mistakes. We become what we see. Therefore, let us keep our eyes on Jesus and give God credit for taking our sinful and broken nature, and imparting His holy and perfects nature in us. This also gives us the grace to allow others to be different, and to mature in God's divine timing.

No Water

God used Moses to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. They had seen many miracles from the hand that held the rod. They also saw Moses hold it out over the Red Sea, and they walked through it on dry ground. They sang praises to God for delivering them from the Egyptian that had enslaved them for 400 years. Now they faced the wilderness, heading for the Promise Land, but after walking three days they found no water and they began to complain—again.

How quickly they changed and doubted the powers of God and His promises to them. Are people any different today? There are many Christians who have never seen a miracle—only read about them or heard reports from others. To see miracles one has to prepare their heart and mind to receive them; wanting and hoping won’t cut it or make them happen. We must prepare the soil of our hearts if we want to see the rains from heaven that will help us fulfill God's destiny for our lives.

We have had no rain last winter in San Carlos, just a few sprinkles and now it's very hot. Then a couple weeks ago we were told that the city of San Carlos and surrounding area would be without water as they did some major repair and upgrading their water system. Many people began to water their plants and fill extra water containers; thinking there would be no water for showers, toilets or washing dishes. I did the same, knowing somehow we would all get through this with some help from God. After the second day of no water, it came on for about one hour, then off again. This continued almost every day, but at different times; so I just kept checking, mainly so I could flush the two toilets in my house and water some plants. It is amazing how easily we can take certain things for granted, and yet they are all gifts from God, including these kinds of experiences. Trials are means to remind us who is really in control and to keep our eyes focused on Christ, the answer to all our needs.

I have read about the drought conditions in the United States, especially in California, and it is long past time for America to change it focus, just as it is for the rest of the world. I have been praying for forgiveness and that God’s grace and mercy to start showering us to soften our hard heart so that we can receive more of His awesome love and grace.

I know many people are worried about these drought conditions, but there has also been a much bigger drought in the spirit of mankind. For years, people have been rebellious and stubborn, but some are also now feeling more helpless and alone than ever. And whatever trial they are facing, there is only one real answer—Jesus Christ. More people crying out to God, because they are seeing that the gods of this world failing to meet their needs and the real hunger of their soul. God want to meet all our natural needs, but more important He desires to meet our spiritual need for Him.

I too, have been a little concerned about facing another hot summer in San Carlos. I have an air conditioned room, but life outside is not very pleasant, even for many Mexican. But this is where God wants me. However, the Lord told me one night, that this would be the best summer of my life. I can live with that, because I trust Him. I also know that the best from God's perspective can be much different than what I or some people would think. A spiritual encounter far outweighs any natural need or carnal desires we might have.

"If my people who are called by My name humbly themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sins and will heal their land.” (2Chron.7:14)

Our lands need healing, but I'm praying and declaring that the River of Life will sweep over us and bring healing to our dry and thirsty souls. Just like Moses, God wants His sons and daughter to lead His children out of captivity and to the Promise Land, and the Rock of Living Water. We have been given His rod and authority and whatever else we need to establish His Kingdom on earth. Despite the drought conditions we see in the United States today, America will once again be showered with God's blessing and become the bread basket to the world. It is also God's desire to bless everyone and every nation.
